Top Notes
Citrus fruits are memorable for their fragrance like flavonoids and limonoids embodied in the skin of the fruit. The juice contains a high amounts of citric acid which gives it its distinct flavor. Citrus’ scent can be described as fresh, tangy, crisp, and uplifting.
Grapefruit comes from a subtropical citrus tree. It is a sour to semi-sweet and bitter fruit with white, pink or red pulp on the inside which has varying sweetness with the red pulp being the sweetest one. Grapefruit has a zesty, fresh, citrusy, and sour to sweet tart scent to it.
Apple refers to the fruit of the Malus domestica species of trees, which contains several thousand varieties. Originating in Asia but now grown every continent except Antarctica, this popular fruit is available in a variety of colors and flavors.
Mid Notes
Lavender is a genus to the Lamiaceae family native to Europe and Eastern Africa. Lavender has a floral, fresh, sweet, herbaceous and sometimes slightly fruity scent to it.
Cardamom is a spice made from the seeds of a handful of plants in the genera Elettaria and Amomum for the Zingiberaceae family. It is native to many countries like India, Bhutan, Indonesia and Nepal. Cardamom has a smoky, strong, and unique aroma that is mildy spicy, slightly nutty, and sweet.
Clover, also known as trifolium or trefoli, is a genus of about 300 species of plants in the herbaceous pea family Fabaceae. Clover grows all over the world and it is typically recognized by its trifoliate leaves and sporting thick spikes of tiny red, violet, white, or yellow flowers.
Base Notes
An inky, bitter-smelling forest floor evocative, prized essence coming from the lichen that grows on oak trees in Europe (harvested in the Balkans). Nowadays severely restricted under skin sensitization concerns, it is nevertheless an essential part of chypre fragrances and fougère fragrances.
An ever popular fragrance note, known mostly through its synthetic variant vanillin, which is sweet, cozy, comforting, with a pleasing cookie-baking feeling to it. Alongside amber, the reference note for the Oriental family of scents.
Cedarwood has a very elegant smoky wood note to it. It’s very dry and dusty, clean, and reminds you of pencil shavings.
