Quick Overview

A Charming, Aquatic Wine Scent

Main Notes:

Grapefruit comes from a subtropical citrus tree. It is a sour to semi-sweet and bitter fruit with white, pink or red pulp on the inside which has varying sweetness with the red pulp being the sweetest one. Grapefruit has a zesty, fresh, citrusy, and sour to sweet tart scent to it.
Black Currant
Sea Notes
Bay leaves are the aromatic leaves of the bay laurel, an aromatic evergreen shrub native to the Mediterranean. The leaves of the laurel bush, a herbal scent with a spicy overlay, familiar from the kitchen.
Guaiac Wood
A small tree that is also known as guayacan. Guaiac Wood is one of the hardest and most resilient woods in the world. Exotic wood note that has tar-like, phenolic facets, imparting smoky, tarmac notes in perfumes.
Lily is the common English name for flowering plants of the Lilium genus. Lilies mostly grow in temperate northern hemisphere. The lily has been described as spicy and waxy note which can become intoxicating with aspects of brine and sweet floralcy
Cedarwood has a very elegant smoky wood note to it. It’s very dry and dusty, clean, and reminds you of pencil shavings.
An inky, bitter-smelling forest floor evocative, prized essence coming from the lichen that grows on oak trees in Europe (harvested in the Balkans). Nowadays severely restricted under skin sensitization concerns, it is nevertheless an essential part of chypre fragrances and fougère fragrances.
Patchouli is a wonderful green bushy herb of the mint family. It belongs to the genus Pogostemon and grows up to two or three feet in height. Sweet, dark, with an earthy, woody edge, it is very popular in many blends, especially the contemporary woody floral musks.

Cambridge Knight (2015) is a complex, deeply rich fragrance with aquatic undertones. Accompanying the refreshing marine note is a lingering clean musk as well as a grapefruit + cassis wine accord that is simultaneously candy-sweet yet cultured and mature. As spicy bayleaf and guaiac wood seep into the mix, the initially fresh candied flavor morphs into a warmer, velvety scent, concluding a charming journey from spray to dry-down.
